R. Todd Richards

Todd has been involved in some kind of broadcasting/recording for as long as he can remember.  Starting as early as high-school with the on-campus WFHS 88.5 FM. and local access WO5AY TV doing sports coverage.  Todd came to BW in 1989 as a Theater major, but found his love of Communications/Broadcasting too much to resist.  During his student days, he received several Cleveland Radio & TV Council Awards, and headed up a team of 11 students to run AMOK IN THE MORNING, a daily, three-and-a-half hour show on WBW 88.3 FM.  A Senior-year internship at Boston's WODS 103.3FM, led to post-graduation tenures at WEOL 930 AM in Elyria, Ohio, WWWE (now WTAM) 1100AM Cleveland, and for the last decade at WOIO CBS 19/WUAB Ch. 43 Cleveland.  Todd worked for nearly a decade on-staff at the Cleveland Sight Center Network (CSCN), producing programming for the sight impaired.  In 1996 Todd was also happy to lend his talents producing satellite programming for the syndicated MOONLIGHT GROOVE HIGHWAY.

Todd was nominated for a March Of Dimes AIR Award in 2002 for his promotion work for WBW's Summer Marathon Series (SMS).  He continues to head that yearly campaign at 88.3 FM, as well as producing his weekly show RUNNING LATE (www.runninglate.org) featuring artist interviews and rare and exclusive music recordings.

In what little time he has to spare, Todd enjoys live music, good films, watersports, pro-soccer and taking in the sights and sounds of the Rock And Roll Capital - Cleveland.

Todd enjoys bringing the active, current Broadcasting world into the classroom.
