Elizabeth Walters joins BW to teach in the athletic training program. With an academic background focused heavily in athletic training, Walters is also well versed in leadership and pedagogy. She previous taught at Springfield College and Bowling Green State University, where she is currently completing her doctorate and researching the impact of leadership on athletic training program success. She is co-managing editor for the Journal of Sports Medicine and Allied Health Sciences. 

Walters' clinical athletic training experience includes working with Springfield College women’s and men’s gymnastics, as well as men’s basketball. While at BGSU she worked a variety of Division I collegiate events.

She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA), and the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association (OATA) for the past several years. Her involvement with GLATA has included various responsibilities. Most notably, she recently stepped into her role such as an education committee member.
