Charles Vesei earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts in Central Eurasian studies from Indiana University and Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. He has taught environmental history, leadership, introduction to the liberal arts, and first-year experience courses. Vesei has published numerous reviews of books dealing with Hungarian history.  His areas of interest include environmental history, Central and East European history, material culture and the history of mass movements. He is a native speaker of Hungarian and has taught the language and culture in the local community. Vesei is currently the head of technical services in Ritter Library.
