Sharon Metivier has taught voice in Northeast Ohio for over ten years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Baldwin Wallace University and is certified in Somatic Voicework (tm) The LoVetri Method Levels I and II. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Metivier has studied with Benjamin Czarnota (Philadelphia School of the Arts, Baldwin Wallace), David Gooding (Strongsville, Ohio), Charles Smith (Baldwin Wallace) and piano with Dr. George Cherry (Baldwin Wallace). She teaches contemporary musical theater, legit musical theater and classical repertoire.

Metivier is a regular soloist and worship pianist at many area churches and works closely with local school systems to provide vocal coaching for school productions, OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contests and sectional work.

Metivier specializes in college audition preparation and performance. Her students have gone on to study vocal music performance, music education and musical theater at colleges across the country including Baldwin Wallace University, University of Cincinnati (Musical Theater), Lipscomb University, Capital University, Ohio State University, Mount Union and many others. Her students regularly perform in school productions, community theater, bands and ensembles.
