Mike Marinis has over thirty-five years of experience in the field of human resources management. In 2014 he retired from the Sherwin-Williams Company, where he was the vice president of human resources for the global supply chain division of the company. The global supply chain is responsible for worldwide manufacturing and distribution of Sherwin-Williams and Dutch Boy paint, Minwax stains, Thompson's Water Seal, Purdy brushes and other well-known brands of coatings-related products. The global supply chain has over sixty manufacturing, distribution and research and development facilities worldwide and employs approximately ten thousand employees. 

During his career with Sherwin-Williams, Marinis has been the vice president of human resources for several divisions, including the consumer sales division, the industrial coatings division and Gray Drug Fair, a chain of over 500 drug stores owned by Sherwin-Williams. His responsibilities have included employee and labor relations, executive recruitment, training and development, safety, compensation and benefits. He has played a lead HR role in acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring projects, quality initiatives and other people-related projects.

Marinis is currently an adjunct faculty member at Baldwin Wallace University. He has also been on the faculty of Cleveland State University’s Executive MBA program, past president of New Life Community, a transitional housing program for single women with children, and member of several HR management professional organizations. Marinis holds an Master of Science in management science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
