Megan Kuhar ‘08 is a percussionist who began her career in technology & entrepreneurship at Cuyahoga Community College, where she taught recording arts courses and worked as a live sound technician. She earned her master’s in music technology, with a self-created focus in social media marketing through additional graduate level coursework in the communications department at the University of Akron.

At BW, Kuhar specializes in empowering musicians to hone their entrepreneurial instincts, while leveraging social media, video, podcasting and web design to create a strong brand identity. She aims to inspire individuals to harness these 21st-century tools to pursue their artistic visions and tell their stories in engaging and innovative ways. In addition to her coursework, Kuhar is a part of the Conservatory communications team and manages its social media channels.

As an entrepreneur, Kuhar helps creatives to align their careers online through her e-course Fan Finder, e-book The Fan Finder Mindset, and individual coaching and consulting. She is also the host of the Creative Brand Sessions podcast and has an educational YouTube channel by the same name. She has been a guest on several podcasts including Ask Pat 2.0 from Pat Flynn (a Top iTunes Business Podcast); was published in Innovate. Music. Lead. from Eastman School of Music and on Cleveland.com; and was featured in Tom Tom Magazine, Chris Guillebeau’s Side Hustle School, Podcast Magazine and Arts Cleveland’s “Cleveland Artist Spotlights.”
