As dean of the School of Education at Baldwin Wallace University, Dr. Karen Kaye's responsibilities include both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Kaye teaches EDU 560 and history/philosophy of higher education in the leadership in higher education Program.

Prior to coming to BW in July 2002, Kaye was the assistant dean for student administration and academic support at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. Kaye's experience spans over 30 years, including positions as instructor, academic advisor and administrator. In addition to her 13 years as an administrator with the Mandel School of Applied and Social Sciences, Kaye spent two years with Bowling Green State University. She began her education career as a middle school teacher in the Avon Lake City School district where she taught English and language arts for 10 years.

Kaye graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Oberlin College. She earned a Master of Education and doctorate in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University. She is a district representative to the Ohio Association of Private Colleges of Teacher Education and serves on the editorial board of the AILACTE Journal of The Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education.
