Deanna Jenkins teaches medical, surgical and critical-care nursing in the Baldwin Wallace University accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. She also provides clinical instruction for those courses at St. John Medical Center and University Hospital main campus.

In addition to her position at Baldwin Wallace, Jenkins teaches clinical experiences in community health at various agencies throughout Cuyahoga County. Jenkins came to BW after many years of instructional experience teaching for Breckinridge School of Nursing and Lorain County Community College where she taught courses in pharmacology, dimensional analysis, medical surgical and community-health nursing. Jenkins was previously nursing supervisor at Amherst Hospital and occupational nurse for Ford Motor Company. She has additional experience as an emergency room nurse, surgical nurse and medical-surgical nurse.

Jenkins has been BLS instructor for the American Heart Association for the past fifteen years, and she holds memberships in the American Nurses Association and Ohio Nurses Association.

She is presently pursuing a doctorate degree in nursing practice/family nurse practitioner.
