Kevin Gulden is working for Baldwin Wallace University as supervisor of student teachers through the Conservatory of Music. In this role he responds to weekly collegiate reflections and observes the college students during their student teaching. This role exhibits his philosophy of giving back to his profession and has included mentoring as a cooperating teacher over 20 students as they finished their education prior to becoming a music teacher.  As an observer of student teachers, he brings fresh insight, mentorship and practical experience to this crucial final stage of the future music educator.

Gulden retired after having been the band director in a very successful program at Olmsted Falls City Schools for thirty-seven years.  He has been a clinician for area music departments, a guest speaker for future educators, a conductor for honor bands, an adjudicator for area contests and a performer throughout the state of Ohio.  Gulden has taken his students to the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) contest and they have consistently achieved superior ratings.  He has been the chairman of the OMEA saxophone high school ensemble revision committee as well as a longtime professional member of the organization. Additionally, he has worked on the OMEA music selection committee for middle school large group contest band.
