Mitchell Fields has been an adjunct professor in the theatre and film departments since 1996.  In 2000, Mitchell won the Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award from the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honorary Society and was again nominated in 2010. He is also the recipient of Delta Zeta's Inspiration through Education Award. Mitchell is also an instructor at the Chagrin Falls Performing Arts Academy. In addition, he has been a member of Actors’ Equity Association for 44 years and has appeared in most of the professional theaters in Cleveland. In earlier years Mitchell has performed in both upstate New York and in Off-Broadway theaters in New York City. In film he has performed opposite James Coburn. He also served as the head  teacher at Second City's training center. Mitchell's most recent credits as a director include “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “The Glass Menagerie.”  His most recent roles as an actor include Shakespeare in “The Frogs”and Billy Dunn in “Heartbreak House.” Mitchell's training includes an Master of Arts from Columbia University in theatre and film.
