Trina Dobberstien

Dr. Dobberstein has been involved in higher education for over 30 years in the areas of Admission, Financial Aid, and Student Affairs. She has served Baldwin Wallace University as VP of Student Affairs and Dean of Students since 2005. In the LHE program, Dr. Dobberstein teaches EDU 561, Student and Adult Development in Higher Education Practice, and EDU564, Ethical Leadership in Higher Education.

Dr. Dobberstein has received awards including the Intercultural Relations Director Award, WVWC in 2002 and the Distinguished Service Award for WVASPA in 2003. Dr. Dobberstein also services on the Advisory Board for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and is a member of the Board of Directors for START, a program to assist at-risk youth.

Dr. Dobberstein received her bachelor's degree from Luther College and her master's degree from Bradley University, before earning her Ph. D. from Illinois State University in Educational Administration. Prior to coming to Baldwin Wallace University, Dr. Dobberstein served as Vice President for Student Affairs at West Virginia Wesleyan College. She also held the position of Dean of Student Development and Enrollment Management at West Virginia Wesleyan.
