Leilani Barrett is an actor, voice-over actor and dancer. He is an adjunct professor at BW and teaching artist for Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Play House and Playhouse Square.

Early theatre studies began at the Front Row Theater, Cleveland Public Theatre, The Cleveland Playhouse, Near West Theatre and Karamu House. He studied dance at The Ohio State University before joining the Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Company. Classical stage roles include Don Pedro in "Much Ado About Nothing," Mark Anthony in "Julius Caesar," Edmund the Bastard in "King Lear," Bassanio in "Merchant of Venice," Henry Bolingbroke in "Richard II" and the titular role in "Othello."

Contemporary stage credits include Tom in "Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo," Roosevelt Hicks in "Radio Golf," Asagai in "A Raisin in the Sun," George in "Intimate Apparel" and Ghost of Christmas Present in Great Lakes Theater’s "A Christmas Carol." His distinctive voice has been heard in commercials for McDonalds, Subway, First Energy, Ohio Lottery, Nike, Sam’s Club, Time Warner Cable, Cincinnati Bell and Safe Auto.

Formerly the host of the Ohio Lottery Cash Explosion show, his television and film appearances include feature films "Draft Day," "Reel Steel," "Dog Eat Dog," "Curvature," "Gone," and "The Big Ugly" opposite Ron Perlman.
