What research is Dr. Ebert doing now?
Stearns-Knight and The F.B. Stearns
Company
Bob
Ebert’s current research focuses on the luxury automobile market of the 1920s. A
Cleveland, Ohio firm, The F.B. Stearns Company, produced the Stearns-Knight
auto in the high priced, luxury price class. The company was dissolved in 1929
after 33 years in business. Research indicates that changing market conditions
and production processes were underway in the luxury car market in the 1920s.
The F.B. Stearns Company did not adapt to these changes and ultimately failed.
