| Apply for Summer Camp |
Do you want a taste of college life before senior year? Do you want more experience in a college style setting?
Then Baldwin-Wallace College Summer Camps are the thing for you!
Our summer camps provide the perfect opportunity for you to experience college life. Each program will concentrate on different themes including:
- So You Want to be a Writer? (June 13-18)
- So You Want to work in Biotechnology? (June 20-25)
- So You Want to work in International Business? (June 27-July 2)
- So You Want to be a Entrepreneur? (July 11-16)
- So You Want to be an Engineer? (July 18-23)
- So You Want to work in Sports Management? (July 25- July 30)
Each camp provides an opportunity for college-bound students to experience college life early, as well as explore a possible career in their chosen field.
All programs feature:
- Small-group instruction from Baldwin-Wallace College faculty for all academic experiences, including labs, lectures, and off-site visits.
- Hands-on experiences, including meetings with professionals in the field, company visits, laboratories, simulations, and other experiential learning opportunities.
- Extracurricular activities related to the theme of your camp, such as visits to sites of interest, movies, and professional sporting events.
- All camps include a trip to Swings-N-Things.
- All camps are residential. You will enjoy the life of a traditional college student by living in a small dorm, attending classes, and experiencing the freedom (and responsibilities) of a young adult. You will be supervised at all times by a team of Baldwin-Wallace College faculty and resident assistants.
Eligibility
Camps are designed for students entering 9th or 10th grade in the fall of 2010. Admission is selective and is reserved to students who are in the top 25% of their class, either measured by GPA or by standardized tests.
Tuition
Camp tuition is $800 for the week (the Biotechnology camp has an additional $60 laboratory fee, for a total of $860). Tuition covers all classes, materials, transportation to offsite visits, as well as room and board. The only additional cost would be pocket money for the student.
Additional Information
Please note that students participating in the camps are expected to behave as young adults and will be asked to work in a college setting responsibly, and to work with other students and professors in a professional manner. If students fail to act as expected, they will have to be dismissed from the camp.
Get a glimpse of what could be your future in college and as a professional in your future field of study. It may seem far, but college is right around the corner!
