What was your biggest mistake as a first year student? What did you learn from that experience?
Not getting very involved! I learned that college is full of amazing opportunities, and that you are only here for 4 short years of your life so take advantage of them while you can!
How did you choose your major?
I was originally in a math class, but decided to drop it because it was all review of high school and extremely boring. I had a friend suggest that I take the DJ Training class with them because it was supposed to be really fun and completely fell in love with it. After being completely undecided I knew I was going to be a Broadcasting Major the second week of school.
What has been you best experience at BW so far?
Being the music director at WBW (the campus radio station). It has helped me figure out what I want to do after I graduate and has helped me make a lot of connections to make that happen.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
The Radio Station.
What movie star would play the role of you in a movie? Why?
Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Because the movie of my life would definitely have a choreographed scene to Hall and Oats and he is the only one who could pull it off.
What was the best advice given to you by your parents or family members during your first year?
My parents telling me that I can't do everything and to do my best to balance school, work and extra-curriculars while making time to sleep and eat every once and a while.
Final Word:
Get involved and leave your door open! My biggest mistakes were not getting involved and not making many friends my freshman year. Join clubs, consider Greek Life and meet new people! You are only here for 4 years so make the most of them starting day one!
