You're about to begin a major transition in your life from living at home and attending high school to the challenges of living and studying at Baldwin-Wallace College. Studies show that living in a residence hall tends to improve students' academic success and the timely completion of their degrees.
A residence hall is more than just a place to sleep. In fact, the essence of living in a residence hall has less to do with the building and more to do with relationships. As a member of a residence hall community, you will be living in an environment intentionally structured to provide you with many opportunities to meet new people, learn new things, and actively participate in campus life. More than just a place to “hang your hat”, your residence hall will serve as a cross-roads of campus life; a place where friends hang-out, peers meet to study and collaborate, faculty visit to socialize and teach, and student leaders emerge to positively influence the College community.
Please visit the hall Web pages to view information about each hall, see an exterior shot of the building and visit the photo gallery. All of our halls have large first floor lounges. Some halls have smaller lounges on each floor. For the safety of all residents all building are locked 24 hours a day. Students access residence halls with their Jacket Express card. Access to on-campus apartments and houses is with an exterior door key. In additional to traditional residence halls, BWC offers a number of special interest housing options. Visit the Special Interest Housing Web site for more information. Click here for a list of what to bring and not to bring with you to your new home.
