Apartment Living for Graduate Students

bth2.JPGThe Bridge Street apartment Building has been recently renovated by Baldwin-Wallace College.  The buildings are well within walking distance of all campus buildings, local shopping, banks, and restaurants in Berea.  Downtown Cleveland is only 20 minutes away.  Cleveland offers cultural events, professional sporting events, theater, shopping, night life, and fine dining.  New for the 2007-2008 academic year, the Bridge Street Apartments will be reserved for our graduate students who choose to live on campus.  The building offers two and three bedroom apartments.  Two bedroom apartments house between two and five students, and the three bedroom apartments house up to five students.  All apartments have a kitchen  with a refrigerator, oven and stove, a bathroom, and a living room.  Apartments are furnished with a bed per resident, dresser, desk with chair per resident, and dining table with chairs. The housing fee includes all utilities (gas, electric, water), central air conditioning, local telephone service, cable television, and a T3 Internet connection.  Public laundry facilities are also available.  The Bridge Street Apartments have extended quiet hours from 10:00pm-9:00am, Monday-Sunday.  Please click here for additional important information concerning the Bridge Street Apartments.

Bridge Street offers a limited amount of private bedrooms, but students have the opportunity to buy out a multi-person bedroom for themselves as space allows.  Space is available on a first come, first service basis. Students are billed semesterly, three times in a calendar year.  The Fall semester 2007cost for each type of occupancy is as follows.

  • Two bedroom apartment with two roommates - 
    $1,913/per person/per semester

  • Two bedroom apartment with three roommates - 
    $1,860/per person/per semester

  • Two bedroom apartment with four roomates-
    $1,674/per person/per semester

  • Three bedroom apartment with four roommates-
    $1,674/per person/persemester

  • Two bedroom apartment, Family Housing, Whole apartment-
    $2,324 per semester
    (Family Housing is defined as Parent(s) and child(ren) where two separate bedrooms are necessary)

How To Apply

In order to be accepted for housing, you must be admitted to the College.  If you have not yet applied for an academic program, please visit our Office of Admission page.  The completed IMBA apartment application and a USD$150.00 deposit must be received by the Office of Residence Life four weeks before taking occupancy so that a housing assignment can be made.  A check or money order should be made out to Baldwin-Wallace College.  The deposit is only refundable if you cannot secure your student visa. Requests for refunds must be received in writing.   Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served  basis by date of receipt of this application.
