Graduate Programs
Graduate assistants can enhance their bachelor's degree at BW with business or educational graduate programs here on campus, or have the unique opportunity to attend graduate classes at a different institution. BW offers graduate programs in Business and Education. Please click each division to review program requirements'
The new *Leadership in Higher Education graduate program at Baldwin Wallace University started enrollment of it's first cohort in the Fall 2009. Please read carefully the program admission requirements and eligibility for internships with Student Affairs and other departments across campus (click here).
*Prospective candidates with interest in the Leadership in Higher Education program are offered an annual stipend of $8,500 if hired to work an internship. BW's LHE internships may be in Student Affairs or in many other departments across campus. It is important to note that the Division of Student Affairs also has a strong history of offering graduate assistantships to students in graduate programs at other universities such as those listed at the bottom of this site. These graduate assistantships, such as those offered with Residence Life as Hall Directors, include an internship and offer additional benefits that will include an on-campus apartment, meal plan (Jacket Express), and a student health plan. BW's LHE program has strong internship opportunities as part of its program, but they are not offered as graduate assistantships.
Please carefully review the requirements to apply and contact BW with any admission questions. For details about the admission application process click here.
Or you may be eligible to enroll in a graduate program at one of our neighboring institutions of higher learning and still "Join the Jackets" while experiencing campus life at BW and beyond.
Here are a few institutions to review. Traditionally we have GA staff who enroll and pursue their Master's degrees at BGSU, Cleveland State, Kent and U of Akron. Please keep in mind that admissions into one of these programs is a separate process and is coordinated by each school differently. When applying for one BW's Graduate Assistantships you should carefully evaluate how to manage transportation and time needed to balance both roles as a hired GA and graduate student who is enrolled at one of these institutions.
