BAND STAFF
Ken Mehalko, director of the “B-W Marching Yellow Jackets” returned to his alma mater in 2006 to start-up the marching band. He has over 45 years of experience as a music educator, adjudicator, clinician, guest director and performer.
He is the recipient of many awards including the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory Achievement Award and the Baldwin-Wallace College Alumni Outstanding Educator Award.
He also is the founder and director of the Strongsville Community Band and the Strongsville City Jazz.
Ken also spent considerable time in Chile from 2003-2006 as a guest of the Chilean Ministry of Culture as a teacher-in-residence through a joint project with the Ohio Arts Council. He holds a Master of Arts Degree from Case Western Reserve University and is active in community affairs as a member of the Strongsville Rotary Club.
