International Student Services

Social and Cultural Programs

International Student Services (ISS) strives to offer programs and events that will ‘bridge the gap’ between the B-W Community and the international students.

"Colleges and universities will need to incorporate international ideas and perspectives fully into the curriculum. Students, regardless of career choice or discipline, will need to acquire an understanding of the world beyond the nations‟ borders and develop the capacity to learn from and about different cultures."
       - The President’s Roundtable of the American Council on Education (ACE)

Every Tuesday you will have the chance to meet an international student or guest who will show you their culture and country as you may have never seen it.

Global Friends Hour (GFH)

Join ISS every Tuesday at 11:45 AM to 12:45 in the Quarry Room (bottom floor of the Strosacker Union) for Global Friends Hour.

If you want to learn more about different cultures and countries, then GFH brings the world to you!

Last semester, GFH 'visited' France, Brazil, Hong Kong, Ecuador, Albania, Germany, Egypt, Australia, South Africa, Morocco, England and beyond!

2011 GFH schedule:

Tentative dates for Fall 2011 will be posted soon.
