2. If you have a bicycle, obey the traffic rules.

BICYCLES
Although the majority of international students have their own cars for transportation, Berea is a small town to ride a bicycle. You can find new bicycles in department or discount stores, or you can find a used one in newspaper advertisements or at some garage sales. If you decide to buy a used bicycle, examine it carefully before buying it. Used bicycles can be much less expensive than brand new ones
Register your bicycle at the Police department, this will help the police recover it if it is stolen. It is very important to lock your bicycle safely; buy a chain and a lock with your bicycle. Bicycle racks are located around campus. HELMETS are not required in Ohio, but it is wise to wear one for safety reasons. If you are riding your bicycle at night, wear reflective clothing or something light-colored. When you are riding your bicycle on a street or road, you have to obey the same traffic rules as a motorist. You can be ticketed by the police for violations and will be required to pay a fine.
You can enjoy riding your bicycle in the METROPARKS. There are bicycle routes throughout the park system. For your safety, and the safety of others, STAY ALERT.
