Food

You can find various kind of places to eat, in or near Berea. McDonald’s or Burger King on Bagley Road are fast food restaurants. Fast food restaurants are quick and inexpensive places to eat.You can eat inside the restaurant or carry your food out. You can pick up your order at the drive-thru window without leaving your car. At the drive-thru window, you give your order by a microphone. When you give your order, the clerk will repeat your order to confirm it is correct and tell you how much it will cost. Give the clerk your money and they give you your order. Fast food is the easiest way, but do not forget that it is not the healthiest way.

If you prefer to eat in a restaurant, you have to pay 7% tax in addition to the cost of food. Some restaurants have delivery service, especially pizza restaurants. You can call the restaurant and give your order, and delivery person brings it to your address. To order pizza decide whether you want thick or thin crust and what toppings you want on your pizza. Ask if they have any SPECIAL DEALS. The pizza market is very competitive; each company has different prices, and for a specific period they may have different combinations for a specific fixed price. Ask how much is your final bill if they do not tell you. It is a custom to tip the delivery person approximately 10-15% of your bill, but that’s not necessary. If you have any discount coupons, be sure to tell the person when you place your order. You can find telephone numbers for pizza restaurants in the telephone directory.

The most economical way is to cook at home. You can find fresh fruits and vegetables in local supermarkets. Addresses of markets with specialized foods (Greek or Arab) can be found in the telephone book. A few are located at the West Side Market on Lorain Ave. and West 25th St.

There are also different types of Food Service Facilities available on the Baldwin-Wallace campus.
