Service is a fundamental component of Greek organizations. Each fraternity and sorority has a philanthropy project which they support through time and financial donations. Each year Greek chapters come together to support various local agencies through donations of canned goods, clothing items, and volunteer hours. During the 2006-2007 academic year, Greek students donated $9131.23 to philanthropies and spent 3966 hours in community service events.
