The 2012 Distinguished Leaders Conference will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Cleveland. Transportation and meals will be provided.

Committee Position Descriptions
Public Relations (2 students): The public relations position will be in charge of assisting and coordinating all marketing efforts of the Distinguished Leaders Conference. This includes but is not limited to contacting, ordering, and picking up posters, flyers, etc. through Printing Services, designing all banners, flyers, and advertisements. The individuals will also be responsible for posting all advertisements/ publicity as well. The team will be responsible for making the booklet/ schedule of events for the event as well as the place cards for the etiquette lunch.
Secretary (1 student): The secretary will be asked to attend each of the meetings that the Distinguished Leaders Planning Committee holds as well as meetings with the Student Directors. The secretary will also be responsible for informing the planning committee of all details that the Student Directors have approved. The secretary will also be in charge of taking and sending out minutes to those who may have missed the meetings as well as planning and organizing meetings amongst the planning committee with the Student Directors. Lastly, the secretary will help contact and find the keynote speaker.
Communications (1 student): The communications chair will be in charge of everything regarding social media. The individual will be in charge of sending mass e-mails to those eligible to apply for the Distinguished Leaders Conference. The main purpose of the communications role will be to assist and coordinate as the liaison between the planning committee and the rest of the student population. The communications chair will send and update information through the B-W bulletin, create a Facebook group for the event, and lastly utilize a new program named Wiggio (you do not have to know how to use Wiggio). Finally, the communications chair will be in charge of purchasing gift cards/ gifts for the speakers.
Session Leaders (Be 'Curious', Be 'Real', Be 'Connected', and Be 'Successful') (4 students): Each individual will be the "head" of one of the above categories. The four categories are based off of the B-W action plan. Each session must have four programs that the students can choose from. Each "head" will be in charge of finding the speakers for their category and making a tri-fold display board for students to get information about each category and the speakers. The tri-fold board will be placed at the registration table on the day of the event while students are signing-up for sessions. You are expected to have a back-up plan for the instance that a speaker may not show up. Lastly, you will be responsible for assisting the Public Relations chairs in providing descriptions of each session for the program that will be handed out to all participants on the day of the event.
