Sami Gougler is entering her first season as the head cheerleading coach at Baldwin-Wallace College.
For the past year and a half, Sami has served as the assistant under former head coach Amy Hafner. Sami graduated from B-W in December of 2005 after receiving her bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communications.
Since January of 2006, Sami has been employed as a Sales and Marketing Associate for Ryan Homes in North Olmsted.
Sami began cheerleading in the fifth grade. She cheered for two years in high school and then began cheering once again when she came to B-W after transferring from Ohio University. Sami was named captain of the Yellow Jacket squad as an upperclassman. While she was at B-W, Sami also coached grade school cheerleading for St. Monica's in Garfield Heights for two years. Sami Gougler will be assisted this season by former Yellow Jacket cheerleaders, Corie Snider and Julie Wunn.
"Cori and Julie were outstanding student-athletes and are great role models," said Gougler. "I have no doubt that their experience and influence will help the squad improve."
