Award Name Criteria for Nomination
Student Organization Advisor of the Year * Any faculty or staff member (including Graduate Assistants) who serve as an
   advisor for a registered & recognized student organization for 2013-14
* Positive role model
* Help students to take responsibility for their own learning, development, and
   success of the organization while providing advice, support and encouragement
* Shows dedication to, and an interest in, the student organization
* Open to new ideas and values student input
* Uses different and creative approaches to educating and assisting organization 
   members
* Makes her/himself available to organization members
* Brings out strengths and talents of individual organization members
* Attends organizational meetings and events
Emerging Female Leader of the Year * First year of leadership within a student organization during the 2013-14 year
* Successfully adjusted to their first leadership position
* Exhibits a healthy balance in leadership and stewardship
* Maintains a commitment to the wellness and/or life balance
* Demonstrates informal leadership (without a position or title)
* Embodies and uplifts the values and mission of Baldwin Wallace University
* Must be a member of a registered & recognized student organization
Emerging Male Leader of the Year * First year of leadership within a student organization during the 2013-14 year
* Successfully adjusted to their first leadership position
* Exhibits a healthy balance in leadership and stewardship
* Maintains a commitment to the wellness and/or life balance
* Demonstrates informal leadership (without a position or title)
* Embodies and uplifts the values and mission of Baldwin Wallace University
* Must be a member of a registered & recognized student organization
Student Organization President of the Year * Served as President/Student Director/Captain of a registered & recognized
   student organization during the 2013-14 year (Presidents of Greek organizations
   are not eligible)
* Demonstrated outstanding leadership, teamwork, and communication
* Served as a role model to other executive board members and general
   membership
* Was inclusive of all members and valued member input
* Embodied and uplifted the values and mission of the organization and Baldwin
   Wallace University
Outstanding Female Leader of the Year * Has more than one year of leadership experience at Baldwin Wallace University
* Has positively impacted Baldwin Wallace University through their leadership
* Served as a positive role model for others
* Embodies and uplifts the values and mission of Baldwin Wallace University
* Has been able to positively balance co-curricular and curricular responsibilities
* Though nominee may not have a specific position/title, they have demonstrated
   outstanding leadership skills including (but not limited to): communication,
   organization, attention to detail, encouragement of others, delegation, honesty,
   follow through, trust, responsibility and accountability
Outstanding Male Leader of the Year * Has more than one year of leadership experience at Baldwin Wallace University
* Has positively impacted Baldwin Wallace University through their leadership
* Served as a positive role model for others
* Embodies and uplifts the values and mission of Baldwin Wallace University
* Has been able to positively balance co-curricular and curricular responsibilities
* Though nominee may not have a specific position/title, they have demonstrated
   outstanding leadership skills including (but not limited to): communication,

OCO Volunteer of the Year * Significant amount of time spent serving through an OCO program(s) during 2013-14

BW Student Volunteer of the Year * Significant amount of time spent serving the community beyond BW
