Burning River Fest 2012

Good cheer, good cause, and good beer are all on the docket (and by the docks) at the 2012 Burning River Fest at the historic Coast Guard Station on Cleveland’s Whiskey Island. This year’s fest, presented by Cleveland’s Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC), has a projected attendance of 8,000 and will feature a diverse lineup of local and regional musical acts on multiple stages, a new feature called the Corporate Boat Float, and guest appearances by some of the most dynamic and inspiring personalities in the environmental community.

The Burning River Fest is above all a fundraiser, with a clear emphasis on the “fun.” Burning River Foundation’s website now hosts a complete listing of exhibitors, vendors, and musicians appearing at Burning River Fest. Website visitors can listen to songs by festival artists, sign up to volunteer or pledge to sponsor the festival, as well as gather complete information on the Burning River Foundation’s mission to raise awareness of environmental issues affecting the Great Lakes Region.

Baldwin Wallace University is an eco-partner for the event. BW students, staff and friends serve as the Recycling Educators. Last year, we helped divert 92% of event’s waste to be recycled and composted.
