We live in an extremely diverse country, so understanding issues of diversity is absolutely essential for being an effective communicator in today’s world. Through experiential exercises, field trips, discussions and presentations, students will learn issues of diversity that affect communication processes in their everyday lives. We will be visiting different cultural groups in the immediate area to observe cultural practices and discuss the underlying values. (Students will be responsible for meals and admission fees approximately $100).
