The Telecommunications Department is responsible for the College switchboard (440-826-2900) and all services and equipment used in conjunction with the telephone switch network system. The department maintains subscriber databases for telephone, voicemail, and emergency 9-1-1 services. In addition, Telecommunications purchases and coordinates staff cell phone and pager accounts as well as teleconferencing equipment.
The switchboard is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. summer hours). After hours, calls are transferred to an automated voicemail system. A caller has the option to dial by extension, access the dial-by-name service, or be connected directly to B-W Safety & Security.
