Fair Use & Copyright
In order to insure full compliance with Copyright and Fair Use regulations, the Educational Technology Department must take certain steps to attempt to obtain permission for instructors who wish to use copyrighted materials in certain classroom situations.
In the case of an instructor wishing to have an entire movie, documentary, etc., available online for course use, it is necessary to contact Frank Paino (email@example.com) who will, in turn, attempt to secure licensing. Securing such rights can take up 6 weeks, so instructors are advised to consider this when planning courses.
Educational Technology cannot honor requests for off-air taping of television broadcasts for classroom use, nor can requests to have full-length movies, documentaries, etc., digitized and stored on the Real Server be honored. Instructors desirous of using television broadcasts in the classroom should contact Frank Paino (firstname.lastname@example.org). He will determine if a licensed copy can be purchased for such use.
