Resource for Faculty

The DSS office is a resource that is dedicated to providing services to not only students but also offering direction, advice and support to the faculty, staff and administration here at B-W.  We value and appreciate all members of the B-W community, so if you have some questions, please don't hesitate to contact our office!

Access vs. Success debate

Colleges and Universities provide access to resources, classes and education while high schools ensure students are successful through graduation.  Once these students transition from high school to post secondary education, they are required to meet the same academic standards as all students enrolled at B-W.  Therefore, significant modifications to any curriculum is not required under the law and in fact can hinder the progress of the student. Students with disabilities may do things slightly differently than the rest of the students enrolled, but are still very capable of demonstrating what they have learned!
