Commuter Services

The Office of Commuter Services Staff

Jay T. Hairston is the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of ACES as well as Director of Commuter Services. His office is located within the Student Affairs office at 110 Bonds. He is responsible for several major programming initiatives including ACES and the World Music Series, co-sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council. Jay T. has served on several Ohio Arts Council panels and is also a gospel recording artist and workshop clinician as well as a diversity consultant. 

Veronica Drdek serves as the ACES/OCS secretary.  In addition to ACES and OCS, Veronica is responsible for coordinating the annual Honors Day program and assists in the Office of Student Affairs.  She is a lifelong resident of northeast Ohio, having grown up in Brook Park, residing in Berea and Strongsville in the past, and just recently moving to Olmsted Township.  She enjoys singing (you might catch her at karaoke some night!), watching the Cleveland Cavaliers, playing the piano, and relaxing with family and friends.

 Mick Reynolds is the Graduate Assistant in the Office of Commuter Services.  This is his second year at Baldwin-Wallace College.  Mick's responsibilities in the office include working with the Commuter Student Assistants, advising the Commuter Activities Board, and the planning and implementation of OCS programs.  A graduate of Kenyon College, Mick is pursuing his master's degree in Higher Education Administration and College Student Personnel at Kent State University.  Aside from working in OCS, Mick is also the Hall Director of Kohler Hall and a native of Cleveland's West Park neighborhood.  When he's not in the office, Mick enjoys learning about Irish history, cheering for all the Cleveland sports teams, and spending time with his family and friends.
