Renowned for his creative musical talent, he combines an aggressive and progressive style with traditional salsa rhythms that appeal to salsa, merengue, mambo and Latin jazz music lovers as well as listeners of other genres.
DeLeon has been called the "hottest and most innovative young timbalero in America" by Latin jazz giant Tito Puente. Under his musical direction, his band has backed up international salsa artists including Anthony Cruz, Tito Allen, Paquito Guzmán, Giro, Pedro Jesús, Lefty Pérez, Ricardo Rey, Luisito Carrión, Hector Tricoche, Tito Rojas, Tony Vega and many others. Co-sponsored by the Hispanic American Student Association (HASA) in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
