Baldwin Wallace Achieves Top U.S. News Rankings for the 20th Straight Year

BW once again has earned a prominent place on U.S. News & World Report's list of "America's Best Colleges." As it has for the past two decades, the 2014 survey places BW among the top regional universities in the Midwest, with BW ranked 17 out of more than 100 schools on the “best” list.

"The U.S. News endorsement is an acknowledgement of BW’s unwavering commitment to intentional excellence and extraordinary engagement,” said BW President Robert Helmer. "It also reflects the dedication and mutual support within our community of learners.”

"Best Value" Listing Applauds Affordable Quality

BW’s commitment to managing costs and maintaining an affordable net price, again landed the University among the best values in higher education. In the category of "Great Schools, Great Prices," BW placed 12th for exceptional value among top tier Midwest universities.

"We appreciate the U.S. News affirmation, and will continue to work hard to address the needs of cost-conscious students and their families with programs like our Four-Year Graduation Guarantee and generous financial aide packages," said Helmer.

Engaging a Broad Student Community to Achieve Highest Potential

BW also was highlighted in a third U.S. News category, "A+ Schools for B Students.” The list recognizes top institutions that "truly seek a broad, engaged student body" and is introduced by U.S. News list this way, “So you’re a scholar trapped in the GPA of a B student, and your heart is set on a top college. There’s hope."

BW takes a holistic approach to evaluating the college-readiness of each applicant and the University is known for an involved, teaching faculty.

"BW's small class sizes and faculty mentoring contribute to campus-wide support network that gives each student in our diverse community the best possible opportunity to achieve their highest potential," Helmer said. "We believe in giving a broad range of college-ready students a chance at success.”
