In honor of their 50th anniversary, alumni of the Class of 1960 contributed $1.6 million to Baldwin Wallace University at the 2010 Alumni Weekend, held in May.

The check was presented by Steven Minter ’60 to President Dick Durst.  Minter’s wife, Dolly Kreicher Minter ’61, is a member of the Board of Trustees.  The gift represented a 40 percent participation by the Class.

In addition, the Class of 1960 renewed its class colors of red and white in honor of the celebration.  The Class Ring Ceremony has been an alumni tradition since it was given to the College by the Class of 1915 to celebrate and symbolize the uniting of Baldwin University and German Wallace College.  On the sterling silver ring are tied the class colors of every graduating class since 1915.
