Alumni Celebration Spotlights Leadership Change, Award Winners, Class of '62
Generations of students returned to campus, where they were able to wish a fond farewell to outgoing BW President Dick Durst and to meet incoming President Robert Helmer, who takes the helm on July 1. In the spotlight: the Class of 1962, which celebrated a golden class reunion.
The event also featured an alumni recognition luncheon, the dedication of BW’s newest building-- the Richard and Karen Durst Welcome Center and campus tours highlighting some of recent additions like the newly renovated Boesel Musical Arts Center, Thomas Center for Science and Innovation and campus wide sustainability initiatives. A Gala Dinner celebrating the Class of 1962 and BW’s Golden Cluster capped off the day, which also provided an opportunity for alumni to renew friendships and recall forgotten memories.
