Alpha Sigma Lambda and the Institute for Learning in Retirement

 

                              SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) Beta Upsilon Chapter will award four non-renewable tuition scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year.
The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) will award nine renewable tuition scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year.  Scholarships are worth 3 credit hours at the undergraduate evening tuition rate.

 Student Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current B-W adult and continuing education or non-traditional student (undergraduate)
  • Minimum of 12 credit hours completed at B-W
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher 

Student must submit a completed application by Friday, February 24, 2012 (5:00 pm) including:

  • Personal essay regarding your academic achievements, personal goals and/or career aims. 
    Include how long you have been working on your degree, any challenges you have faced, or information about why you feel that you qualify for this scholarship and should be selected.
    (Financial need is a consideration; your past enrollment and projected coursework will be considered in the application review process.)
  • Recommendation(s) from a faculty or staff member, or work supervisor.
    One recommendation is sufficient - a maximum of two accepted.
