Financial Aid

Financial Aid Timeline For Entering Students

RIGHT NOW!  Apply for admission.  Look into sources of aid at your high school guidance office, library, employer, union, church, financial aid office, Internet, etc.  If you (parent and student) don't already have one, apply for your Personal Identification Number (PIN) with the federal government at www.pin.ed.gov.

December (H.S. Senior) - Parent/Student should each apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN).

January (H.S. Senior) - Complete Federal Tax return as early as possible, keeping a copy for your records.  File FASFA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, using PIN number for you and your parent as electronic signature.  Baldwin-Wallace's school code is 003014.

February - Receive Student Aid Report (SAR) from Federal Processor and check for accuracy.  Promptly respond to any requests from the Financial Aid Office for additional information.

March - May - Receive financial aid award notification from Financial Aid Office.  If you plan to borrow a loan, complete a Stafford Request and Entrance Counseling form .

May - August - Attend orientation and follow up on financial aid requirements for loans, scholarships, work-study programs, and requests for additional information.
