Applicants must be Ohio citizens, entering either their junior or senior year of high school in the fall of 2008.
Applicants must be available for all of the scheduled Academy days (Summer session: June 15-20 & June 22-June27, 2008; Fall session: September 6,13,20 & 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Applicants must express a clear motivation for participating in the Academy.
Applicants must select a nominating teacher from the applicant’s high school or junior/middle school science classes.
Applicants must be deemed by their nominating teacher to be capable of successfully completing the college science coursework in the Academy.
Applicants must be mature, self-motivated and responsible young adults with the potential to succeed in science courses.
Applicants must be rated favorably in their ability to self-assess, work independently and cooperate in group endeavors.
Applications must be post-marked by April 26, 2008 (extended deadline).
