to facilitate their transition from college to career.

Our Vision

Our Values

Our Goals

Self-Discovery

Your student will begin his/her career exploration journey by taking these simple steps to understanding his/her skills and interests.  Help your student stay on target with Career Plans for Action for First-Years, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.

Academic Major Selection

Discover the major academic areas of study at B-W and how your student can succeed in his/her major.

Learn Professional Skills & Self-Marketing Techniques

Remind your student to attend events provided by Career Services where he/she can learn professional skills like writing cover letters and résumés, preparing for interviews, professional dress, and researching companies and organizations.  Your student also has the opportunity to attend the Career and Internship Expo to network with various companies and organizations.

The schedule of upcoming events can be accessed by choosing Career Services in the organization section of the Yellow Jacket Portal site.

Gain Professional Experience

Find out what opportunities are available on-campus (student activities, study abroad, volunteerism, etc.) and off-campus (Internship Program) that would help your student build his/her résumé during college and how to communicate these skills, interests and values toward personal and professional excellence.

Employment or Graduate School

Your student can search and explore post-graduate opportunities that suit his/her interests.

Seeking an Intern or Employee?

If ever your company or organization needs an intern, your company or organization may post an employment opportunity online through our B-W Career Network.  Connect to the Employers Pages to create an Account.

CareerConnections

Parents, are you interested in helping current B-W Students with their careers?  Are you interested in being available to meet with students to share your expertise and provide career advice?  If the answer is yes, we invite you to join CareerConnections.

CareerConnections is an online program that allows current students to "connect" with B-W Alumni or friends of B-W to:

  • Conduct an informational interview about academic major selection, a career field or industry
  • Provide a job shadow experience for a current student at your place of employment
  • Serve as a speaker or panelist for a Career Services campus event

If you are interested in becoming a CareerConnections volunteer, please email career@bw.edu
