She also taught in the Avon Lake City School district for 10 years.

"She brings to the position enormous administrative skill and a strong commitment to the value of teacher education," says Mary Lou Higgerson, Vice President for Academic Affairs. "She recognizes the strengths of our program and is eager to work with the faculty and staff to pursue the B-W tradition of excellence."

Dr. Kaye graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and earned her Master of Education and doctorate degrees from Bowling Green University.

Baldwin-Wallace College has a long tradition of providing excellent teacher preparation. The Division is one of five Ohio colleges and universities currently approved by the Ohio Department of Education and NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) to prepare teachers in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Middle Childhood Education, Adolescent Young Adult and Multi-Age Education, and Mild/Moderate Educational Needs. In addition, B-W is approved to grant a Master of Arts in Education degree with licensure in the areas of Reading, Pre-Administration, Mild/Moderate Educational Needs, and Educational Technology. The Division also provides an alternate route to licensure for persons possessing a bachelor’s degree.
