BW Women’s Tennis Team Loses at Ohio Northern

ADA, OHIO -- The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin Wallace University women’s tennis team lost 8-1 to host Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match on Saturday, April 21, 2012) at the ONU Tennis Courts.
With its loss, BW is now 8-12 overall and 3-3 in the OAC. With its win, ONU is 16-4 overall and 6-0 in the OAC.
ONU gained an early, 2-1 lead after the doubles competition and won five of six singles matches to claim the win.
In doubles action, the number one duo of junior All-OAC player Rebecca Mittler (Elyria/ Catholic) and sophomore Morgan Baker (Vermilion/ Elyria Catholic) had the lone Yellow Jacket win with a 9-7 triumph.
The Yellow Jackets end the regular season at home next week with OAC matches against cross-town rival John Carroll University on Wednesday, April 25 at 3:30 p.m. and in the first match of a doubleheader versus Marietta College on Saturday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m.
