Yellow Jacket Women's Tennis Team Beats Lenoir Rhyne (N.C.) College, 9-0, for

its Third Straight Spring Trip Win in Hilton Head, South Carolina

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women’s tennis team defeated NCAA Division II Lenoir Rhyne (N.C.) College, 9-0, this morning (Thursday, March 9) on its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. It was the third straight victory for the Yellow Jackets.

The win improves the Yellow Jackets to 3-3 overall, including 3-3 on the trip. Later this afternoon, BW plays St. John Fisher (N.Y.) College at 4:00 p.m. in the final match of its trip to Hilton Head.

In singles play, BW posted straight set wins from junior number one singles player Andrea Isaac (New Philadelphia), sophomore No. 2 player Tiffany Allison (Chagrin Falls/ Kenston), sophomore No.3 player Meggie Glassburn (Canton/ Jackson), sophomore No. 4 player Krista Marshall (Medina/ Senior) and senior No. 5 player Liz Moore (Huron). Junior No. 6 player Mary Katherine Stahura (North Canton/ Hoover) won in three sets. In doubles play, the No.1 duo of Isaac and Glassburn, the No.2 tandem of Allison and Marshall and the No.3 duo of Moore and freshman Alyssa Trampert (Orchard Park, N.Y.) swept Lenoir Rhyne and gave BW a 3-0 lead heading into the singles matches.

The first northern match is on Tuesday, March 14 when BW hosts Muskingum College in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener at 3:30 p.m.
