ABOUT JENNY GREENE:  As a senior in 2011-12, Jenny is playing her fourth season of tennis. She has earned three varsity letters.  She is a four-year starter and three-time second-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. Entering her senior season, Jenny has helped BW to win one OAC regular season title (2008-09), two OAC Tournament titles (2008-09 and 2010-11) and twice advance to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

2008-2009 NOTES:   As a freshman in 2008-2009, Jenny played in her first season of tennis and earned her first varsity letter. Jenny was the starter at number-two singles and combined with then senior Alyssa Trampert to form the No.2 doubles tandem. She was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on March 23, 2009 for her efforts in wins against Muskingum College, Walsh University and Malone University. Jenny was 3-0 in singles and combined with Alyssa for a 3-0 doubles mark.  Overall, Jenny had a 13-17 mark in singles play with a 5-4 mark in the OAC.  In doubles play, Jenny had a 15-15 overall record, including 7-2 in OAC action.  For her efforts, Jenny was named a second-team All-OAC selection.  The Yellow Jackets finished 13-11 overall and 8-1 in the OAC and took second place in both the OAC regular season and OAC Tournament.


2009-10 NOTES:   As a sophomore in 2009-2010, Jenny played in her second season of tennis and earned her second letter. Jenny was the starter at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles. In singles play, Jenny had a 12-12 overall record, including an 8-2 slate against OAC competition. In doubles, Jenny posted an overall record of 14-13, including a 13-11 mark with then junior Emily Pelosi at No. 2. Jenny helped BW to an 18-8 overall record, the OAC regular season (9-0) and OAC Tournament titles and its third NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance in four years.  Jenny was named second-team All-OAC for the second straight season.

2010-11 NOTES:   As a junior in 2010-11, Jenny competed in her third season of tennis.  She competed in singles play primarily at the No. 4 position, but also saw some time at the No. 3 position.  She compiled a singles record of 20-6 and ended her season by winning twelve straight matches.  In doubles play, Jenny competed with senior Emily Pelosi as the No. 2 doubles team and compiled a record of 19-6 while also winning twelve of their last thirteen matches of the season.  Jenny also saw time in doubles play when she teamed with junior Safaa Hajji to go 3-1 and teamed with sophomore Rebecca Mittler to go 1-0.  Jenny was 16-9 combined overall in doubles play. For her efforts, she was name second-team All-OAC for the third straight year. BW compiled an 18-8 record and finished second in the OAC during the regular season with a record of 8-1.  The Yellow Jackets won the OAC Tournament title and qualified for their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five years. 

2011-12 NOTES:   As a senior in 2011-12, Jenny is competing in her fourth season of tennis. She is the starter at either number one or two in singles and teams with junior Danielle Rueger to form the No.2 doubles tandem. Jenny was named as the OAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week on April 9, 2012 and for the second time in her career following a 4-0 week in singles and doubles.

HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND:

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED) and HONORS:  Jenny played four years of varsity tennis and lettered four times. As a sophomore, Jenny was the Ohio Capital Conference champion at first doubles and won the Sportsmanship Award. As a junior, she was the OACC runner-up at third singles and won the Sportsmanship Award. As a senior, Jenny was the OCC second singles champion and a three-time recipient of the Sportsmanship Award. Jenny was on the Merit Roll and named as a Scholar-Athlete.
