Yellow Jacket Women's Soccer Team Defeats Daemen College of New York, 3-0.

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer team defeated Daemen College of New York, 3-0, in Amherst, New York this afternoon. With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 5-3 on the season and now have a three game winning streak. The Jackets will next be in action on Thursday, September 26th when they host Notre Dame College of Ohio at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea at 7:00 pm.

Leading the way for the Jackets was freshman Kathryn Demby (Westlake H.S.) scored her second goal of the season off an assist from junior Katie Johnson (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) in the 21st minute.  Demby's goal was all the Yellow Jackets needed.  Freshman Megan Stark (North Olmsted High School) added her team-leading fourth and fifth goals to secure the Jacket victory.

In the win, senior Michelle Henry (Getzville, N.Y./Sacred Heart) saved all nine shots she faced. Henry is now 2-0 this season in goal. 

Following its game versus Notre Dame of Ohio on Thursday, B-W will be idle until Wednesday, October 2nd when they host Shawnee State. It will be a doubleheader of soccer that night as the men's team will also play Shawnee State.  Game time for the women is 5:00 pm. with the men's game immediately following.
