Baldwin-Wallace Women's Soccer Team and Otterbein Play to a Scoreless Draw

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s soccer team tied Ohio Athletic Conference rival Otterbein College, 0-0, tonight (Wednesday, October 17, 2007) in double overtime at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea. With the tie, B-W stays unbeaten in the OAC at 4-0-2 and with 14 points are in third place in the OAC.  The Yellow Jackets only trail Ohio Northern University (18 points) and Capital University (15 points). 

With the tie, the Yellow Jackets are now 10-4-2 overall, while the Cardinals are now 7-5-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the OAC

Otterbein won the battle of shots, 17-7 and corners, 6-3.

In goal, Yellow Jacket senior three-time All-OAC player Michelle Neff (Strongsville) faced 17 shots and had 10 saves as she recorded her eighth shutout this season and the 22nd of her brilliant four-year career.  Neff is second on B-W’s all-time list for shutouts.
       
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action this Saturday (Oct. 20) when they host OAC rival Muskingum College on Seniors' Day at The George Finnie Stadium at 4:30.  The game is the first game of a women's and men's doubleheader versus the Fighting Muskies.  The B-W and Muskingum men kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
