Baldwin-Wallace Women's Soccer Team Remains Unbeaten in the OAC With a 2-0 Win Over Heidelberg

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer team remained unbeaten in the Ohio Athletic Conference as it defeated Heidelberg College, 2-0, tonight (Tuesday, October 9, 2007) at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea.

With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 9-4-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the OAC  With the loss the Student Princes fall to 3-10-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the OAC

B-W won the battle of shots, 16-6 and corners, 4-1.

In the first half, B-W jumped out to a 1-0 advantage at the 11:31 mark when junior midfielder Allie Wojtkun (North Olmsted/Magnificat) scored off an assist from freshman midfielder Jessica Poiner (Stow/Stow-Munroe).

In the second half, B-W extended the lead to 2-0 when freshman midfielder Linsey Clapacs (Willoughby Hills/South) scored at the 81:38 mark off a Wojtkun throw-in.

In goal, Yellow Jacket senior three-time All-OAC player Michelle Neff (Strongsville) played all 90 minutes recording five saves while earning her sixth shutout of the year.

The Yellow Jackets continue OAC play on Saturday (Oct. 13) when they travel to Marietta to play Marietta College at 1:00 p.m.
