Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Soccer Team Loses at Case Western Reserve, 2-1

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin-Wallace College women’s soccer team lost today (Saturday, September 15, 2007) at Case Western Reserve University, 2-1, in University Circle. The loss ended a three-game Yellow Jacket winning streak.
       
Case grabbed the lead at the 18:26 mark of the first half when Cecilia Fusco scored with an assist from Caroline Garber. The Spartans held the lead into halftime.
       
In the second half, B-W tied the game at 1-1 at the 57:44 mark when junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Allie Wojtkun (North Olmsted/ Magnificat) scored her first goal of the season. It was unassisted. But Case answered less than three minutes later when Ana Arruda scored the game-winner at the 60:41 mark with an assist from Garber.
       
Despite the loss, B-W senior three-time All-OAC goalie Michelle Neff (Strongsville) played tough as she faced 15 shots and made six saves.
       
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 19 when they host Hiram College at The George Finnie Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
