BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace women's soccer team defeated Anderson (Ind.) University, 2-0, in a lightning shortened game in The George Finnie Stadium in Berea.
With 4:54 left in the game lightning entered the Berea area and the game was called and the men's game with Anderson was canceled after a two hour delay.
With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 2-2 overall while the Raven fall to 1-3 after the loss.
Neither team could find the net in the first half and then sophomore forward Natalie Fox (Canfield) scored at the 46:16 mark off an assist from junior midfielder Maddy Davis (Hudson) to give the Jackets a 1-0 lead. Fox then gave the Jackets a 2-0 lead when she scored off a pass from freshman midfielder Linsey Clapacs (Willoughby Hills/South) at the 71:12 mark. Then bad weather moved into the area and the game was eventually called in the 85th minute.
The Jackets return to action on Wednesday, September 12 when they travel to Oberlin to take on Oberlin College at 4:30 p.m.
