BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer team lost to Ohio Athletic Conference rival Wilmington, 3-0, tonight (Saturday, October 28) at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea to end the 2006 season.
With their loss, the Yellow Jackets end their season at 10-8 overall and 4-5 in the OAC. Despite its loss to Wilmington, the Yellow Jacket women had another outstanding season. B-W clinched its third straight 10-win or more season and is 33-22-4 in the past three seasons. Wilmington, now 11-2-4 overall and 5-2-2 in the OAC, has clinched a spot in the tournament.
The Quakers opened the scoring at the 2:22 mark when Alex Hesson scored on deflected ball. Then Jenna Curcio scored on a header off a Kristen Elam corner kick at the 4:41 mark. Emilie Seiter scored the Quakers' final goal of the game off a loose ball at the 27:28 mark in the first half.
In goal, junior 2005 OAC Goalie of the Year Michelle Neff (Strongsville) played 85:30 allowed three goals on 10shots and had five saves.
